Robert Campagna

Robert Campagna is a freelance photographer, writer and educator. Since 1980 he has created and taught over 450 photography workshops for youth, adult, collegiate and community groups in throughout Iowa, Colorado, New Mexico, Wisconsin, Illinois, Minnesota, California, New York, Nicaragua, and Scotland. In these three decades he has taught over 11,000 students. He presently is a teaching artist through Think 360 Arts. Previously he was a 25-year teacher for the Iowa Arts Council's Artists in the Schools and Communities projects.

Lesson Details & Fees: Photography workshops typically consist of a one to three-week intensive series of classes where students learn the basics of photographic composition and printmaking. The intensive culminates in a gallery exhibition of students’ work including black and white or color photography, using traditional film cameras or digital equipment.

Also an option is the design and publishing of a book utilizing analog or digital images.

Workshops are custom-designed to accommodate the interests of the host institution, its student population and the locale. Workshops could be a regional study, focusing on an educational theme, or project-oriented, i.e. creating a local calendar, postcards, book or prints for sale by the students.

Each program can be custom-designed to fit budgets and schedules with straight-forward expenses. All materials necessary for a workshop are provided.
